Health and Safety

Having excessive levels of radon in your air poses a serious threat to you and your family’s health. A radioactive gas that comes from soil, radon is odorless and colorless, and thus very hard to spot. Radon is the number one cause of lung cancer among non-smokers, and is second only to tobacco among smokers. According to the Environmental Protection Agency’s (EPA) guidelines, it is time to take action if your home’s radon levels are 4 picocuries per liter (pCi/L) or higher.

Radon Mitigation System

2 in 5 homes in Minnesota have radon levels that pose a threat. Each home is different, and our professionals will find the right mitigation system for your home. The systems we use work to create negative pressure in your home so radon does not infiltrate your indoor air.  Foundation design and type are taken into careful consideration as we work to find the best system for your home. We’ll make sure your floor and walls are tightly sealed to reduce the air exchange in your home, limiting the radon that comes in and the conditioned air that escapes.

Our team is here to make sure your home is safe. If you’re concerned about the radon levels in your home, call us to schedule a testing!
